What to expect

Your first appointment

Where can I park? How do I get in?

You can enter via the gate marked with the ‘Beauty Salon’ sign. Free car parking is available out the front of the premises, or on the street.

Do I need to be there earlier than my appointment time?

Additional time is not required, just notice if you are running late or have to cancel for any reason.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring any previous imaging, scans ( x rays, CT MRI ) or test results that you may have. IF REFERRED BY GP: please bring your Care Plan, Medicare, Centerlink card (Health, Pension or Concession)

Please wear comfortable clothing, exercise clothing is preferred as it is easier to treat through.

What will typically happen during my first appointment?

Your initial consultation will involve filling out some new patient information such as contact details and date of birth.

We will then go through a thorough medical history assessment, to understand your presenting complaint and also previous problems and any maintaining factors.

What kind of treatment will I get?

A full spine and biomechanical assessment, including all necessary orthopaedic tests performed to identify and diagnose the cause of your problem.

You will then be given a personalised treatment consisting of a range of osteopathic techniques. This may include pelvic balancing, stretching, soft tissue massage and fascia release, joint mobilisation and manipulations.

What is the follow up process / what happens after?

You will be given a plan as to how many treatments we think you will need, as well as exercises for you to practice outside of the clinic to aid in the speed of your recovery.

We will follow up with you via a call or text 2 - 4 days after treatment to see how you are feeling.

How do I pay or get a rebate?

Payment can be made by cash or EFTPOS.

HICAPS is also available; alternatively you can easily claim any private health rebates online.

You can get a Medicare rebate for osteopathy, using the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan. Medicare covers osteopathic treatment for chronic conditions for some people. A chronic condition is one that is more than 6 months duration. Check with your GP if you are eligible. If eligible, you must obtain a referral from your GP for a CDM plan.

You can get a $54.60 rebate for up to 5 visits per year. Unfortunately, we cannot bulk bill Medicare for osteopathy at our clinic, so there will always be a portion that is required to pay. At our clinic, you will need to pay the full fee upfront yourself first, then we can process the Medicare rebate and get it back to you on the spot (it takes 3 days to refund back into your bank account) or online (1-2 days).

How do I rebook for my next appointment?

You can rebook for your next appointment on the spot or online here
