Pricing and Rebates

A Medicare rebate for Osteopathy can be accessed under the Chronic Disease Management Plan (formerly known as an EPC Program or the Enhanced Primary Care Program).

If you have approval for 5 Osteo treatments a year from your GP for a CDM plan, you are able to claim back a portion of the consult fee.

The current Medicare rebate is $54.60 for an initial osteopathic consult, and any subsequent review consults that you might be recommended for. Unfortunately, we cannot bulk bill Medicare for osteopathy at our clinic, so there will always be a portion that is required to pay.

Medicare covers osteopathic treatment for chronic conditions for some people. A chronic condition is one that is more than 6 months duration. To access Medicare funded osteopathy, you will need to speak to your GP about whether you are eligible for this claim. If eligible, you must obtain a referral from your GP for a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan.
